Install CoDesk on macOS

Download

Download the latest macOS installer from the Downloads section on your subscription page.

Installation Steps

  1. Open the downloaded .dmg file
  2. Drag CoDesk to the Applications folder
  3. Launch CoDesk from Applications
  4. If macOS blocks the app, go to System Preferences → Security & Privacy and click Open Anyway

Grant Permissions (Important)

Modern macOS (Ventura / Sonoma and later) requires several explicit permissions before CoDesk can view or control the screen. Without them you connect successfully but see a black screen, or cannot move the remote mouse and keyboard.

Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, then grant CoDesk each of the following:

  1. Screen Recording — required to see the remote desktop. Missing this is the #1 cause of a black screen.
  2. Accessibility — required to control the remote mouse and keyboard.
  3. Input Monitoring — required for keyboard input to pass through reliably.
  4. Full Disk Access (optional) — needed only if you use File Transfer to reach protected folders.

You must quit and reopen CoDesk after granting permissions. macOS only applies them on the next launch. If a permission is already checked but still not working, select CoDesk in the list, remove it with the button, then add it again and restart the app.

On older macOS the same options live under System Preferences → Security & Privacy → Privacy.

Configure Server

Follow the same server configuration steps as Windows — enter your ID Server, Relay Server, and Auth Key in CoDesk's Network settings, or use the one-click config key import.
