Your First Remote Connection

Prerequisites

• CoDesk installed on both local and remote computers
• Both devices configured with your server settings
• The remote device powered on with CoDesk running

Steps

1. Get the Remote ID: On the remote computer, note the device ID shown in CoDesk's main window
2. Enter the ID: On your local computer, type the remote ID in the "Enter Remote ID" field
3. Connect: Click "Connect" or press Enter
4. Enter Password: Type the password shown on the remote device (or the permanent password if configured)
5. You're connected! You now have full remote desktop access

Connection Types

• Desktop Control: Full remote desktop with keyboard and mouse
• File Transfer: Transfer files between computers
• TCP Tunneling: Forward TCP ports through the connection

Tips

• For better performance, use a wired connection when possible
• Close unnecessary applications on the remote machine to reduce bandwidth
• Use the toolbar at the top to toggle full screen, adjust display settings, or switch monitors
